Whiskey and burlesque in Chicago

Untitled Whiskey Room
If you’re reading this, then obviously this post’s featured image intrigued you and you wanted more information. When you’re looking for a unique place in Chicago to eat dinner, enjoy a stiff one (a cocktail, of course), or see live music and other entertainment, definitely consider Untitled Supper Club. Located in River North, the entrance to Untitled is inconspicuous, but once inside the door you’ll be immediately drawn into the very large space to explore the various rooms and experience everything that is going on at this interpretation of a 1920s speakeasy. If you were a fan of the HBO show Boardwalk Empire, think of Untitled Supper Club as the modern-day version of the Ritz Carlton hotel that was often depicted in the series. Take a look at the “tour” on the Untitled website to get an idea of various areas to hang out, including the Whiskey Library, Champagne Dining Room, Lounge, and the Backstage bar. At around 500 bottles, Untitled Supper Club boasts one of the largest whiskey collections you can find. The establishment has several large, beautiful rooms with fully stocked bars, and they are decked out with rich wood-paneled walls, leather and velvet furniture, and vintage 1920s-inspired furnishings.

Eat dinner in the Lounge and enjoy live entertainment, which often includes a mix of live music (blues, jazz, etc) and an authentic burlesque show. If you haven’t witnessed a burlesque show, and I hadn’t when I first visited Untitled, I was impressed—and your lady will be too. While you’ll definitely stop eating to watch the short shows, don’t expect to see anything that goes on at strip clubs today. But trust me, it will put a smile on your face and you’ll be wondering why you haven’t done this sooner.

Happy hour run from 5-8pm with free admission and feature a DJ, food, and drinks.
